Our Services: EMID is a multiple service Municipal Improvement District with the powers to provide its residents a range of services:
- Public utilities, public health, safety, police and emergency services.
- Wastewater collection and disposal.
- Land use standards and enforcement, accomplished primarily through enforcement of CC&R adopted, and periodically changed, by homeowner's.
- Refuse collection and street sweeping.
- Local park and recreation services.
- Pedestrian and equestrian trails and facilities.
- Public meeting and events facilities.
- Public right-of-way beautification and maintenance.
- Public monument and bulletin board & facility maintenance.
- Road drainage and flood control, by joint powers agreement with County departments and/or State agencies.
- Animal and pest control.
- Fire hazard, flood abatement, and air pollution abatement.
- District tax assessment, rate setting, and collection.
- Representing the voters of Embarcadero in relationships with the County and other Government entities.
