Embarcadero Municipal Improvement District

Our Services: EMID is a multiple service Municipal Improvement District with the powers to provide its residents a range of services:

• Public utilities, public health, safety, police and emergency services.
• Wastewater collection and disposal.
• Land use standards and enforcement, accomplished primarily through enforcement of CC&Rs adopted, and periodically changed, by homeowners.
• Refuse collection and street sweeping.
• Local park and recreation services.
• Pedestrian and equestrian trails and facilities.
• Public meeting and events facilities.
• Public right-of-way beautification and maintenance.
• Public monument, bulletin board and facility maintenance.
• Road drainage and flood control, by joint powers agreements with County departments and/or state agencies.
• Animal and pest control.
• Fire hazard, flood abatement and air pollution abatement.
• District tax assessment, rate setting and collection.
• Representing the voters of EMID in relationships with the County and other government entities.
